Zone A Command Closure, Located at Alexander Farrelly Justice Center Due to a Controlled Power Outage Saturday

The Virgin Islands Police Department has scheduled a controlled power outage on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at 8:00 a.m. to transition over to its new transfer switch and bring a new generator online. The Water and Power Authority has been notified. It is required to disconnect the power from the main transformer and be inactive for the connection process.

The connection of the automatic and manual transfer switches will be completed during this outage. However, due to the installation safety concerns, no power will be available to the VIPD section of the Farrelly Complex during the installation process.

Those needing assistance filing reports or complaints are advised to go to the Bassanio David Command, Julian Jackson Drive, 68-72 Southside quarter, St. Thomas, or call 340 774-4445 for more information. If you have an emergency, please contact 911.

The VIPD apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause; however, these final steps must be completed before hurricane season.
