USVISA Temporarily Suspends Practical Coach Education Program

U.S Virgin Islands Soccer Association (USVISA)

The U.S. Virgin Islands Soccer Association’s (USVISA) Technical Department has announced that its practical coaching session, scheduled May 16-18, is suspended until further notice.  A revamped Practical Coach Education program is in the works.

At USVISA and CONCACAF, coach education is a fundamental pillar in the development of the game. At the end of April 2022, members of the USVISA Secretariat attended one of nine CONCACAF Coaching Conventions being held throughout the region.  The three-day workshop served to establish minimum standards regarding coaching education and to improve the quality of coaching in the region.

At this convention, it was concluded that USVISA will reorganize its coaching education calendar and processes. Further, CONCACAF is using the events to ensure that all 41 members of the confederation understand that they have the full support of the federation. USVISA thanks everyone for their patience as it prepares to better grow the game.
