Ten Sleepless Knights has scheduled the 2022 Folklife Festival Music, Dance with a Cultural View celebration for June 24, 25 and 26, which will continue on July 2 and 3. The festival celebrates the U.S. Virgin Islands’ culture, history and traditions influenced by the flags of seven nations.
All vendors should have their booths/tents showered in the theme of Folklife Festival, Music, Dance with a Cultural View. Vendor applications are now available and can be attained by emailing kc@tensleeplessknights.com or calling 210-867-4913.
On June 24, Ten Sleepless Knights will host the Folklife Reception at Government House, honoring:
- Asta Williams (storytelling, masquerade dancing);
- Cedell Petersen-Christopher (cauriso singing, masquerade dancing and storytelling),
III. Wayne “Bully” Petersen (painter, author, Quelbe musician),
- Willard John (Guardians of Culture Moko-Jumbies over 35 years)
