Orlando Carrion Dies

Orlando Carrion

The family of Orlando “Randy” Carrion is saddened to announce his passing on Jan. 23.

Randy was born June 22, 1944, to Justo and Emelina Carrion. He spent most of his life on St. Croix with his brothers and sisters in Frederiksted, as well as Brooklyn, where he raised his loving daughter, Adelina.

Randy is survived by his daughters: Belinda and Adelina; son, Randy Carrion; brothers: Antonio, Robert and Juan Carrion; sisters: Yolanda and Ivette Carrion; nieces: Tara, Taina, Yolanda, Tanya and Teena Carrion, and Nadja Howell; nephews: Justo Carrion Jr., Jose Adams Jr., Renee Charles, Stephen, Waldemar and Luis Carrion, Samuel and Bobby Carrion; cousins: Maria and Gracey Cabret, Linda, Mark, Gregory and Butch Labeet, and Sonia Bermudez; as well as many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

Charismatic and honest, he was great to talk to, and his easy laughter and smiles will be sorely missed.

Unfortunately, due to current pandemic, there will be no funeral or memorial service held on St. Croix. Randy will be cremated, and his remains will be sent to rest in Brooklyn, N.Y.
