Police are investigating an alleged assault at a Smith Bay bar on Saturday that left a woman with deep cuts to her face and arms.

The victim, who was taken to Roy Lester Schneider Medical Center, told police that she was sitting at Bob’s Bar with a friend around 9 p.m. when her fiancé’s ex-girlfriend started to insult her, according to a news release from the V.I. Police Department.
