St. Thomas Woman Arrested for Passing Bad Checks

Police arrested Marina S. Anthony, age 34 of Oswald Harris Court, Tuesday September 28 at 10:12 a.m. on a warrant, charging her with drawing and delivering worthless checks.

Anthony allegedly deposited a fraudulent check into her personal account on July 26 and withdrew over $20,000 before being intercepted by authorities. Anthony was turned over to the custody of the Bureau of Corrections, pending her Advice of Rights hearing, after failing to post $30,000 bail.
