St. Croix Man Charged with Burglary

On September 27, at 10:25 p.m., police arrested Syel Williams, age 32 of no fixed address, charging him with 2nd degree burglary.

Williams is accused of the unauthorized entry of a residence; taking the homeowner’s wallet and vehicle keys while he slept; and illegal use of the homeowner’s vehicle. Additional charges are pending. Williams was placed in custody after failing to post $50,000 bail, pending his Advice of Rights hearing.
