Man Found on Roadway in Lindbergh Bay Dies

A man who was found lying on the road in Lindbergh Bay Saturday morning died at Schneider Regional Medical Center, the V.I. Police Department reported. The cause of death is unknown at this time, pending an autopsy, the police said.

Police said the deceased was identified by family as 49-year-old Joseph Jason Jackson.

According to the VIPD, at around 10:32 a.m., July 24, the 911 emergency call center dispatched police officers to Lindbergh Bay where an unresponsive male, later identified as Jackson, was found lying in the roadway.

Emergency medical technicians performed CPR and transported the male to the hospital, where he subsequently died.

The case is under investigation. Police urged anyone with information about the case to call 911, the Crime TipLine at 340-778-4950, or the anonymous tip service, Crime Stoppers USVI, at 1-800-222-8477 (1-800-222-TIPS).
