Virgin Islands Council on the Arts Increases Grant Awards, Applications Available

The Virgin Islands Council on the Arts (VICA) has increased its grant funding amounts, effective immediately, for the 2022 Annual Grant cycle. The Annual Grant provides artistic support to Virgin Island artists and non-profit art organizations. VICA has received funding from the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) to provide General Operating Support, Project Support, Arts in Education Support and Arts in Underserved Communities Support.

  • General Operating Support has increased from $10,000 to $15,000.
  • Project Support has increased from $5,000 to $7,000.
  • Arts in Education Support and Arts in Underserved Communities Support have increased from $3,000 to $5,000.

Annual Grant applications are now open online at www.vicouncilonarts.org until Aug. 31.

Eligible individuals and organizations must be based in the Virgin Islands and have been in existence for at least two years. All applicants must have an active DUNS number registered on www.sam.gov. All grants must be matched with a combination of cash and in-kind services. Mini grants have also increased from $1,000 to $2,500 as well as Technical Assistance grants from $1,000 to $2,500.

The deadline for Annual Grants is Aug. 31, 2021.

The deadline for Mini/Technical Assistance Grants is Jan. 31, 2022.
