Mikaela Smith Wins Silver at Regional U-23 Championships

The VI Track & Federation (VITFF) has announced that VITFF team member Mikaela Smith competed well in Costa Rica at the North American, Central American and Caribbean Athletic Association (NACAC) Track and Field Championship for age-groups Under-18/Under-20/Under-23.

Smith finished 2nd in 800m in the under 23 age group, winning a silver medal.  A total of 263 athletes, including several soon-to-be Olympians, competed from Friday, July 9 to Sunday, July 11, with 19 countries represented. The last time this competition was held was in 2019 in Querétaro, Mexico.
