The U.S. Virgin Islands Soccer Association (USVISA) has announced the launch of a recruitment campaign to find female and male soccer players capable of representing the USVI at regional and international soccer tournaments. When a person registers for the USVI Soccer Association National Academy Training Program, the training will help that person to enhance soccer skills while building friendships that will last a lifetime.
Limited space is available for the following divisions: U15 – Born on Jan. 1, 2007, or later; U17 – Born Jan. 1, 2004, or later; and U20 – Born Jan. 1, 2001, or later.
To be eligible for consideration by the National Academy Training Program, proof of ties to the U.S. Virgin Islands must be provided.
Examples of ties to the USVI include, but are not limited to:
- Being born in the U.S. Virgin Islands (St. Croix, St. Thomas, St. John)
- Being a resident of any of the three islands for a minimum of two years
- Having a parent that was born in the U.S. Virgin Islands (St. Croix, St. Thomas, St. John)
- Having a grandparent that was born in U.S. Virgin Islands (St. Croix, St. Thomas, St. John).
