VIWMA Takes LBJ Pump Station Off-line for Repairs.

The Virgin Islands Waste Management Authority advises the community of repairs being completed on the LBJ Pump Station which recently went off-line due to mechanical failure.  The pump failure has caused a manhole to overflow near the intersection of Water Gut and Kings Cross Streets (the government parking lot) on St. Croix.

Motorists are asked to take an alternate route to enter Christiansted and pedestrians are advised to avoid any standing water in the area. The Authority is working to complete the repairs as quickly as possible.

For more information, contact the Division of Education and Communications Management at 513-4171 or email communications@viwma.org. The VIWMA hotline is available 24/7 at 844-962-8784. Also, follow it on Facebook, LinkedIn and/or Twitter.
