Police Commissioner Trevor A. Velinor, on behalf of the Virgin Islands Police Department, thanks Senator Javan James for his partnership with the VIPD to lead the drive with the 34th Legislature in procuring funds to renovate the Police Athletic League Center in Estate Whim.

“The renovation of this building allows for the VIPD to provide a safe and secure after-school and summer learning environment for our children,” the commissioner said.

Velinor also extended his gratitude to Governor Albert Bryan Jr. for signing the bill that authorized the funds for the renovations. “Governor Bryan understands the importance of having programs for the children of the community, and by signing the bill, he showed his willingness to have successful programs like PAL continue,” said Velinor.
