DPW to Close West-Bound Lanes on Melvin Evans Highway From April 8-15.

Project Title: Melvin Evans Highway Reconstruction and Rehabilitation on St. Croix

Dates: April 8 – 15, 2021

Hours of Work: 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Summary: The Department of Public Works advises the community that the west-bound lanes on Melvin Evans Highway, from the West Airport Intersection to the Williams Delight Intersection, will be closed from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. starting this week. The closure will allow the contractor to begin milling and paving the lanes. This is the fifth segment of this six-phase project. The public is asked to avoid these areas and use alternate routes as much as possible during this time. The Department of Public Works appreciates the community’s patience as they work to improve road conditions throughout the territory.
