The territory’s public schools will be closed on Friday, Feb. 12, to accommodate professional development training for teachers and school-based personnel; they will be closed on Monday, Feb. 15, for Presidents’ Day.
As the Department of Education continues to adjust to teaching and learning during the coronavirus pandemic, additional training is being provided to teachers and support staff through monthly professional development days.
The “No V.I. Child Goes Hungry” Feeding Initiative will not operate due to the closures.
Schools will resume normal operations on Tuesday, Feb. 16.
