Labor Updates Workers’ Compensation Coverage Info for Injured Workers

Labor Commissioner Gary Molloy has announced rate changes provided by the Workers’ Compensation Administration for the 2021 maximum benefit amount and increases made to benefits effective Jan. 1. The Virgin Islands Department of Labor encourages the public to take note of the following:

  • The maximum benefit amount for Disability Income Benefits has increased from $617.00 per week or $123.40 per day to $694.00 per week or $138.80 per day.
  • These changes will affect all injuries that occurred on or about Jan. 1, 2021.
