The Virgin Islands Department of Licensing and Consumer Affairs hereby notifies the public of two virtual public hearings to address community concerns on pending applications for a ‘Tavern Keeper A’ liquor license to conduct the proposed business activity listed as: “1st floor bar sales of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages” at the physical locations of 81C Kronsprinsens Gade, St. Thomas, VI 00802 and 33 King Street, Christiansted, VI 00820.
Pursuant to Title 8 of the Virgin Islands Code Section 13(c), Department of Licensing and Consumer Affairs may refuse to grant an application for alcohol license upon finding, after public notice and adequate hearing, that such refusal is in the public interest.
Department of Licensing and Consumer Affairs invites all those property owners within residential areas, schools or churches that are 500 feet or less from the described locations to present testimony either for and against the issuance of the aforementioned licenses to the Department of Licensing and Consumer Affairs. In St. Croix, comments for Santa C. Amador can be submitted at 3000 Golden Rock Shopping Center, Suite 9, Christiansted, VI 00820-4311 or email to [email protected]. All submissions from the public must be received by Monday, Jan. 25.
