Location: Carlton Road – Route 667, St. Croix
Summary: The Department of Public Works is advising the community that major road reconstruction will begin on Carlton Road on Nov. 24. Work is estimated to be completed in 90 business days.
During this time, the roadway will be closed to all through-traffic and accessible for residents only. The scope of work includes completion of surface and base course paving, paved waterways, culvert pipe crossings, inlets, tree removal, striping and other miscellaneous work.
Motorists are urged to avoid this area while construction is in progress. The department is asking the public to adhere to all traffic controls, personnel and construction signs. Alternate routes include Routes 63 (Good Hope Road), 701 (Campo Whim Road) and 665 (Williams Delight Road).
The total estimated project cost is $2,830,000.
