The Virgin Islands Waste Management Authority (VIWMA) advises the St. Croix community that effective Sunday, Sept. 20, green waste and seaweed will only be accepted at the Anguilla Landfill Mondays through Saturdays.  There will be no green waste or seaweed disposal on Sundays.

Residents are urged to practice backyard composting, which reduces the volume of green waste entering the waste stream. Composting is nature’s way of recycling by creating rich fertilizer and healthy soil for your garden.

For more information, contact the Division of Education and Communications Management at 643-0410 or email communications@viwma.org. Also, follow VIWMA on Facebook, LinkedIn and/or Twitter.
