STT Man Charged with Burglary at Legislature Building

The V.I. Police Department on Wednesday morning arrested 50-year-old Kyle F. Woods and charged him with third-degree burglary after he turned himself in and admitted burglarizing the V.I. Legislature Building on St. Thomas last month.

According to the police, Woods surrendered himself at about 10:50 a.m. Aug. 12 and admitted to burglarizing the Virgin Islands Legislature building on July 27 by removing lawn equipment from the premises.

He was placed under arrest as a result.

Police issued an appearance ticket to appear at the Richard Callwood Command for his advice of rights hearing.

Police urged anyone with information about the crime to contact the VIPD by calling 911, the Criminal Investigation Bureau at 340-774-2211 extension 5579, or the anonymous tip service, Crime Stoppers USVI, at 1-800-222-8477.
