DPNR Reopens Public Libraries and Historic Forts

Commissioner Jean-Pierre Oriol of the Department of Planning and Natural Resources has announced the reopening of the Charles Wesley Turnbull Regional Public Library on St. Thomas and the Regional Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped on St. Croix.

Turnbull and Regional Public Libraries are open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Library materials from Florence A. Williams Public Library in Christiansted can be returned at the Regional Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped in the Vitraco Mall in Golden Rock.

Fort Fredrik and Fort Christian National Historic Landmarks are open only with self-guided tours from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Due to COVID-19 and for the safety of staff and the public, social distancing and a facial covering are required.
