The traffic initiative has netted three DUI arrests so far, according to a police news release issued Sunday.

According to the police report, officers conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle driven by Zamorano during a DUI checkpoint on the East End Road, just west of Ziggy’s in Estate Solitude. Zamorano admitted to drinking alcohol and failed the field sobriety tests administered by officers. He was placed under arrest as a result.

Officers arrested McAllister at a DUI checkpoint on King Street, Christiansted, in the vicinity of Fort Christiansvern. McAllister also admitted to having a few drinks and failed the administered field sobriety tests. Police said McAllister’s blood alcohol content was over the legal limit, resulting in his arrest.

While conducting another DUI checkpoint at the same location on King Street, Christiansted, officers arrested Killoran after he failed the field sobriety tests and his blood alcohol content was over the legal limit, the news release said.

Bail for Zamorano was set at $1,000. He posted bail and was released pending his advice of rights hearing.
