The anonymous tip service, Crimes Stoppers USVI, is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the perpetrator of a June 19 shooting that injured one man.

According to the V.I. Police Department’s report, at around 11:10 p.m. June 19, the 911 emergency call center received a report of shots fired in the parking lot of the United Shopping Plaza, St. Croix. At the scene, officers learned that a male victim, who was not identified, had been transported to the Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital via private vehicle.

Witnesses told police that a silver Ford Escape with no license plate came into the shopping center and traveled around the parking lot in the opposite direction of the flow of traffic. The passengers inside the Ford Escape opened fire on a group of individuals.

The victim received multiple gunshot injuries that were not considered life-threatening and was listed in stable condition.
