Man in Custody Charged in Second Burglary

Detectives from the V.I. Police Department arrested John Allen, age 37, who was in the custody of the Bureau of Corrections on a separate matter, charging him with third-degree burglary and grand larceny, the police reported in a news release issued Saturday.

The new charges are in regard to a burglary that occurred Jan. 31 on Bjerge Gade, Charlotte Amalie.

Bail for Allen was set at $20,000. He was unable to post bail and was remanded to the custody of the Bureau of Corrections pending his advice of rights hearing, police said.

Shouldn’t the VI Government also publish a list of people whose tax refund checks are delinquent? People the government owes. Seems only fair.
