Crimes Stoppers USVI, the anonymous top service, is putting the spotlight on a murder suspect on St. Thomas and a strong of stolen cars that could be used in later, more vicious crimes, on St. Croix.
ST. THOMAS – Crimestoppers is offering a reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of Jabaar Mactavious, age 29 and 6 feet, 1 inch tall.
Mactavious is wanted in connection with a homicide that occurred on April 16 in the Anna’s Retreat area, St. Thomas. There is an arrest warrant for Mactavious who faces a charge of first-degree murder.
Crime Stoppers is offers as much as a $10,000 reward.
ST. CROIX – The Virgin Islands Police Department needs the community’s help in recovering any reported stolen vehicles on St. Croix. According to police statistics, more than 26 vehicles have been reported stolen on St. Croix since the beginning of the year. The latest reported stolen vehicles are a 2013 Silver BMW S3 and 2 dirt bikes.
It is known that some of these recently stolen vehicles are kept in hiding and later used for other crimes, such as robberies, drive-by shootings and possibly kidnapping.
Police urged anyone who knows anyone involved or knows the whereabouts of any stolen vehicle to “Say Something.”
