At about 8:30 a.m. Monday, detectives from the V.I. Police Department’s Domestic Violence Unit arrested 36-year-old Isaiah Simmonds of Estate Bovoni and charged him with first-degree assault/domestic violence.
According to police, on Saturday the male victim stated told officers he had been assaulted by Simmonds with a crowbar and a brick during a disagreement. The victim sustained multiple injuries about the body in the incident.
No bail was set for Simmonds as per the domestic violence statutes, and he was turned over to the custody of the Bureau of Corrections pending his advice of rights hearing.
