DLCA Announces Rack Rates and Fuel Price Survey

According to the Department of Licensing and Consumer Affairs (DLCA) the rack rate issued by Limetree Bay effective March 30-April 5, is lower for Regular and Premium by 25.35 percent and 30.77 percent, respectively, from the prior week’s rate.  The new price for regular and premium with the .14/gallon tax is $0.85 and $0.92, respectively. The rack rate for diesel (ULSD) is 0.78 percent lower from the prior week’s rate. The new price for diesel with the .14/gallon tax is $1.42/gallon. Currently, the rack rate quoted is available in the St. Croix District only. As soon as the rack rate for St. Thomas-St. John is available, DLCA will disseminate the information.

Gas Station fuel price surveys were conducted Thursday, March 26, on St. Croix, St. Thomas and St. John.

On St. Croix, the lowest prices found on self-service regular were Freedom City Service Station and Midpoint Service Station at $2.329 per gallon. Five Corners Service Station has the lowest premium gasoline at $2.909 per gallon. The lowest price for diesel fuel was Super Tank Service station at $2.750 per gallon.

On St. Thomas, the lowest prices found on full-service regular and self-service regular was Petrus Smith Bay at $3.369 per gallon. Ali Baba and Race Track have the lowest full-service and self-service premium gasoline at $3.689 per gallon. The lowest prices for diesel fuel were 1st Stop Frydenhoj and 1st Stop at $3.59 per gallon.

Race Track on St. John had the lowest self-service prices at $3.79 premium and $3.63 regular per gallon.  The lowest price for diesel was Race Track at $4.27 per gallon.
