The Virgin Islands Powerlifting Association will welcome at least 19 athletes to compete in the 2020 Classic and Equipped, the first national powerlifting meet in the territory’s history.
The event will take place at Rock-Life Crossfit on Saturday, Feb. 15, at 10 a.m. and is free to attend.
The lifters will compete in squat, bench press and deadlift, and the three combined.
Scores will be recorded and can qualify lifters for upcoming IPF international competitions that include the North American Powerlifting Championship, a qualifier for the World Games, as well as for the Virgin Islands National Team.
