Stephanie Alicia Ward Dies at 44

Stephanie Alicia Ward

Stephanie Alicia Ward, also known as “Lisa,” of Atlanta, Georgia, died on Dec. 25. She was 44 years old.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley “Sylvia” Ward; father, Alton T. Ward; sister, Juveen Ward; uncles: Hitcliff Carlos, Fitzroy Brann Sr., Norris Brown and Uriah Ward; and brother-in-law, Franklin Johnson.

She is survived by her companion, Saeed Payne; sisters: Carol “Pat” Felix, Abigale Ward-George, Florette Ward Eugene, Ursula Ward and Marilyn O’Brien; brothers: Ira Ward, Barymore Ward, Aaron Ward and Micheal Ward; nieces: Carmen and Angela Felix, Sheniqua and Shequilla Robinson, Kisshyla Cetoute, Cheyenne George, Olivia Jusme, Shaquilla Thibou, Riley Eugene, Zerekia Ward and Kisshyla Ward; nephews: Baltazar Felix III, Jose, Alexie and Israel Felix, Iroy, Shamarie and Kaleed Ward and Barymore Ward Jr.; great nieces: Amirah Hodge, Anylah Guadalupe, Riley Eugene, Saniyah Williams, Janielys Marie Felix, Nailah Felix, Shanika Ward and Zyana Francis.

She is also survived by great nephews: Keano and Kyle Eugene, Jaheim, Jakeim and Jakeil Felix, Demain Ward, Amauri Thibou, Chancellor Jusme and Azarni Callabero-Warights; aunts: Camela Horsford, Cola Hughes, Janice George, Edwina White and Phyllis Carlos; mother-in-law, Valerie Williams; father-in-law, Amos Payne; godchildren: Jazeel Irvin, Rahzel Parrilla, Gregory A.J. Bennerson and Hanoj King Williams; god-sisters: Joy Petersen, Eleanor and Amerita Hamlet; godmother, Hyacinth Martin; brothers-in-law: Baltazar Felix Jr., Cuthbert George, Ryan Eugene, Nybo Rodgers, Akil Thomas and Kareem Yane; and sisters-in-law: Sylvie Ward, Nyra Rodgers, Letisha, Tuwanda, and Janeeka and Dikeya Payne.

Other survivors include special friends: Kady James, Lussa Moises, Joanna Parrilla, Carmen Santos, Gloria Parrilla and Patricia Williams; cousin and other relatives: Fitzroy Brann Jr., Nicole, Sean and Fitzroy Carlos, Judith Ward, Sharmaine, Mickel and Harriet Brann, Jacelyn, Kenard, Kady, Kirk “CJ,” Kim and Karen James, Oak Benta Sr., Alva Joseph, Rodney, Celia, Denise Caleb, Ivan, Liosa, Marvin, Robert, Sherryann, Wayne Peters, Necole Benta, Florette, Masha, Taphia, Candacie and Anderson Lake (Antigua), Joy Ann (Antigua), Cleveland (Antigua), Monet (Antigua), Stincho Ward (Antigua) Harriet Destin, Desire, Wendell, Kevin and Marlon; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 23, at Bethel Methodist Church, Frederiksted. Interment will follow at Frederiksted Cemetery.
