VIPA Announces Additional Changes to Cruise Ship Schedules

The Virgin Islands Port Authority (VIPA) has received changes to its cruise schedules for the Austin “Babe” Monsanto Marine Terminal in Crown Bay, St. Thomas and the Ann E. Abramson Marine Facility in Frederiksted, St. Croix.

Royal Caribbean Cruise Line’s Empress of the Seas has notified VIPA that it has canceled its scheduled call to Crown Bay on Jan. 16.  The Empress of the Seas has rescheduled its Crown Bay visit to Jan. 15.  The ship is scheduled to arrive at 8 a.m. and depart at 7 p.m.

The Empress of the Seas has also added a visit to St. Croix to its itinerary and will sail to Frederiksted on Jan. 16.  It will berth in Frederiksted at 7 a.m. and depart at 3 p.m. The ship has a passenger capacity of 1,840 guests and a crew of 668.

VIPA was also notified today that the Carnival Breeze will berth in Frederiksted on Tuesday, Jan. 14, at 11 a.m. instead of 8 a.m. as previously scheduled.  The ship will depart at 5 p.m.  Cruise schedules may be downloaded from the seaports section of VIPA’s website: www.viport.com.
