The V.I. Police Department, at about 5:30 p.m. Saturday, arrested 38-year-old Darbouze Pompee and charged him with third-degree assault/domestic violence.
According to the police, the victim – whose name was not released in pursuance of department policy – reported that Pompee had assaulted her. The victim sought medical attention for her injuries in the emergency room of the Schneider Regional Medical Center.
No bail was set for Pompee as per the domestic violence law. He was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending his advice of rights hearing.
