Clement Boston Pemberton Dies at 80

Clement Boston Pemberton

Clement Boston Pemberton, also known as “Sage,” of Estate Mount Pleasant died on Oct. 29. He was 80 years old.

He is survived by his wife, Pearline Pemberton; daughters: Avril Francis and May Jene Owens; sons: Rohan Pemberton and Leroy Thompson; grandchildren: Chevone Pemberton, Tyshawn Pemberton, Shamya Pemberton, Nyjemela Harris, Nyandre Harris, Alfred Harris, Armani Anderson, Ki-ing Pemberton, Shane Pemberton, Chassity Owens and Thomas Owens; great-grandchildren: Aysia Harris, Gianna Rattery, Mia Pemberton, Ava Pemberton, Joshua Pemberton, Rubi Owens, Alaya Owens and Khaii Owens; and nieces: Angela Tyson, Lorina Walters, Mavis James, Ivy Woodley, Kethurda Liburd and Iva Farrell.

He is also survived by nephews: Ian Donowa and Eugene Donowa; great nieces: Monique Smith, Melissa Smith-Rogers, Claretta Mills, Marva, Jacinth Stephen, Syrette Stephen and Lornette Prescott; aunts: Faustina Richardson, Claudette Pemberton and Ophelia Sargeant; uncle, Livingston Sargeant; daughter-in-law, Chanier Pemberton; sons-in-law: Novelle Francis and Roosevelt Owens; brothers-in-law: Carlton Tyson and Llewellyn O’Loughlin; and godchild, Omari “Smiley” Gordon.

Other survivors include special friends: Pastor Tracy and Tammi Wilkins of Florida, Mr. and Mrs. Roderick Tyson, Members of Engrafted Word Worship Center of Florida, Maria Heyliger, John T. Joseph, Francis Hippolyte, James Charles, Lesroy Marsh, Ramadin and Iris Maynard, Cashina Barthley, Mr. and Mrs. Stynworth Caines, Olive Thompson, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Vargas, Mr. and Mrs. Tuitt, Mr. and Mrs. Williams, Clifton Pantophlet, Lowell Browne, Mariska Petersen and Wilfred Pringle; cousins and other relatives: Nicole and Paul Girard, Deborah and Jean Louc Peter, Loughton Sargeant, Stefbert and Olivia Sargeant, Lavette Soto, Rupert Sage, the Tyson family, the Pemberton family, the Sage family and the Sargeant family; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

A viewing will be held at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 26, at Miracle Revival Church. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
