V.I. Police Department patrol officers, crime scene technicians, detectives, a member of the Victim’s Advocate agency and personnel from the Family Resource Center all gathered at 6:37 p.m. Sunday at the Schneider Regional Medical Center to investigate a 911 emergency call of unlawful sexual contact.
Upon arrival, officers encountered a victim who told officers that the incident began at about 11 p.m. Saturday when she left the Tap and Still Bar and Restaurant in the Port of Sale Mall area. She was traveling westbound, and told oficers she recalls hitting a curb at the Mandela Circle intersection.
The woman told investigators she remembered being inside a residence, and a suspect exposing his private parts. She then described being forced to touch the man’s private parts. She recalled being driven to her residence by an unknown male, and said the suspect was also in the vehicle.
This incident is under investigation by the Criminal Investigation Bureau.
