Celina Cyril Dies at 70

Celina Cyril

Celina Cyril, also known as “Orina” or “Linda,” of Estate Williams Delight died on Aug. 12. She was 70 years old.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Oliver and Albetina JnMarie; and granddaughter, Talilah Safiyyah Cyril.

She is survived by her spouse, Gabriel Cyril; son, Cuthbert Cyril; grandchildren: Khalil Waheed Cyril, Jaden Zion Cyril, Mackai Farrakhan Cyril and Mackaylah Celina Cyril; sisters: Susan Malcom, Agatha JnMarie Smith and Amy Henry; brothers: Theotime Simeon and Mark Simeon; and nieces: Tracy Malcom, Fercinta Smith, Melissa JnMarie, Nathalie Francis, Carima Henry, Linda Daly, Hannah Deas, Rose Lewis, Lisa Leonce, Donna Simeon and Shenel Simeon.

She is also survived by nephews: Trevor Malcom, Peter Simeon, Daniel Simeon and Quain Simeon; daughter-in-law, Vanessa Elliott; mother-in-law, Madline Edwards; brothers-in-law: George Henry, Athony Cyrille, David Burke and Botty Burke; sisters-in-law: Ina Simeon, Marie Simeon, Angie Burke, Loretta Cyril, Veronica Edwards and Joyslin Edwards; godmother, Veronica “Annie” Theodore; and godchildren: Brenda Grey and Sheniqua Cordaic.

Other survivors include special family and friends: Virgina Durant, Ms. Vigilant, Decosta family, Elliott family, Heyliger family, Emmanuel family, Joseph family, Susan Torres, Grey family, Augustin family, McFarlande family, Diana Gumbs and Serieux family; adopted children: Sonia Grey, Samuel Grey Jr., Carol Grey, Althea Grey and Brenda Grey; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

The viewing will take place at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m., Friday, Sept. 6, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
