Melsada Irene Arthurton Dies at 72

Melsada Irene Arthurton

Melsada Irene Arthurton, also known as “Sada,” of Estate Calquohoun died on May 28. She was 72 years old.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Rosetta Mills; father, Norris Bailey; brother, Austin Bailey; and daughter, Cammalieta Arthurton.

She is survived by her husband, Myron Arthurton; daughter, Victoria Arthurton; sons: Emerson Arthurton Sr., Myron Arthurton Jr., Vaughn Arthurton Sr., Avery Arthurton Sr. and Garvin Arthurton; and grandchildren: Jaynae Arthurton, Destiny Arthurton, Melisa Arthurton, Ashley Arthurton, Patrice Arthurton, Monisha Bannis, Monique Arthurton, Denisha Guy, Emerson Arthurton Jr., Vitalis Mathurin Jr., Antonio Arthurton, Vaughn Arthurton Jr., Avery Arthurton Jr., Juqan Arthurton, Joshua Arthurton, Jeremy Zion Arthurton, K-mani Arthurton and Aaron Joshua Arthurton.

She is also survived by great-grandchildren: Reginald Thomas Banks Jr., Michael Kmiec Jr., Elijah Josiah Phillips, Terrell, Davian and Karter; sisters: Ammorelle Bailey, Beverly Bailey, Jacinth Bailey and Bernette Skeete; brother, Hugh “Lester” Bailey; nieces: Naomi Boyles, Sylvia Allen, Arleen Bailey and Keva Bailey; nephews: Denrick Boyles, Elvis Allen, Eric Robinson and Karney Skeete; daughters-in-law: Amy Arthurton, Yolanda Arthurton and Melanie Street; son-in-law, Ecerodo Linquist; and special friends: Lindtha Hazel, Agnes “Carmen” Richards, Vilret Chapman and the Alfred family.

The viewing will begin at 10 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m., Monday, June 17, at the New Testament Church of God, Estate Whim. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
