DPNR to Hold Annual Commercial Fisher Meetings

The Division of Fish and Wildlife will hold its annual commercial fisher meetings later this month, according to a press release issued Thursday by the V.I. Department of Planning and Natural Resources

The St. Thomas-St. John commercial fisher meeting will be held from 6-9 p.m., Tuesday, June 18, at the Windward Passage Hotel conference room on St. Thomas.

The St. Croix commercial fisher meeting will be held from 6-9 p.m., Thursday, June 2, at the University of the Virgin Islands Great Hall in St. Croix.

The meetings will discuss topics including electronic reporting of commercial fisheries data, renewal of business licenses, completion of W-9 forms required for fisheries disaster aid, updates to the commercial catch report forms, enforcement issues and upcoming 2019 fishing registration.

All commercial fishers are strongly encouraged to attend the meeting in their respective district.
