Drier air will continue across the region today generating only isolated showers from time to time. Easterly winds are forecast on the order of 15-20 miles per hour with some gusts to 25 miles per hour by midday. High temperatures will average in the mid to upper 80s. The potential for shower activity increases on Sunday as enhanced levels of moisture move across the local area.
Across the local waters, small craft operators are urged to exercise caution due to choppy seas to seven feet and winds between 15-20 knots (17-23 miles per hour).
There is a moderate risk of rip currents for most beaches on St. Croix, and some beaches on St. Thomas and St. Croix.
