DOE Schedules Quadrille in Our Schools and Marble Tournament

The Division of Virgin Islands Cultural Education (DVICE) has announced its revival of “Quadrille in Our Schools” and the first “Marble Tournament” in the St. Croix District.

Quadrille in Our Schools, celebrating its 14th year, will be held at 4 p.m., Saturday, May 18, in the St. Croix Educational Complex gymnasium.

Participating public and parochial schools include: St. Croix Christian Academy, St. Mary’s Catholic School, St. Patrick’s Catholic School, Pearl B. Larsen, Juanita Gardine, Lew Muckle, Ricardo Richards, Alfredo Andrews and Claude O. Markoe elementary schools, John H. Woodson Junior High School, St. Croix Central High School and St. Croix Educational Complex High School.

Each school will be performing a different quadrille number throughout the dance recital. The Sweet Peppa Quelbe Band will provide music.

Tickets cost $5 for adults and $3 for students. They can be purchased at each participating school.

Also, St. Croix’s First District Marble Tournament will be held at 9 a.m., Thursday, May 30, at the David C. Canegata Ballpark.
