Althea Omega Legair Dies in Florida

Althea Omega Legair died on April 27 at home in Naples, Fla. She was 89 years old.

Althea was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Legair; son, Elman Legair; and grandsons: Narson Sullivan and Dave Lockhart.

She will be sorely missed by her daughters: Joan Legair, Clare Legair, Nurseen (Charles) Legair Davis, Pearlette (Dr. David) Legair Mitchell; sons: Aster (Osafer) Legair, Bertil Legair, Randolph (Shannan) Legair and Bradley (Avrille) Legair; brother, Benjamin Hossum; and 21 grandchildren: Brittany Lockhart, Romello Lockhart, Azya Lockhart, Jahvonny Lockhart, Jaya Johnson, Chizhe Johnson, Chris Johnson, Aaliyah Johnson, Simone Johnson, Genesis Legair, Kumare Johnson, Jalen Rogers, Kyleigh Rogers, Zurie Augustin, Zahir Augustin and Luca Legair.

She will also be missed by 16 great-grandchildren: Brittany Lockhart, Romello Lockhart, Azya Lockhart, Jahvonny Lockhart, Jaya Johnson, Chizhe Johnson, Chris Johnson Jr., Aaliyah Johnson, Simone Johnson, Genesis Legair, Kumare Johnson, Jalen Rogers, Kyleigh Rogers, Zurie Augustin, Zahir Augustin and Luca Legair. close friends: Valderine Venner, St. Eval Henry, Eloise Leslie, Merlene Taylor and Kareen Christopher; as well as many nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.

The service will be held at Golden Gate All Nations Seventh-day Adventist Church at 11:30 a.m. and interment will follow at Palm Royale Cemetery in Naples, Fla.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Legacy Options Funeral and Cremation Services.
