St. Croix Career and Technical Education Center students who graduated in 2016.

Founded in 2012, the Cultural Conquest Association Inc. (CCA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization formed with the purpose of giving back to the youths of the community in the form of educational assistance. The organization has two program areas: ‘Education with the Integration of the Arts’ and ‘Mentoring.’ It is funded in part by Limetree Bay Terminal.

CCA will award a scholarship to two St. Croix high school seniors who have already been accepted to a college, university or technical school. The students will be awarded a onetime $1,000 scholarship to go towards school expenses such as books, lab fees, room and board, etc. The application is available from any guidance counselor at all St. Croix high schools. Students can also obtain applications via email or leave a comment on the CCA Facebook page.

Students can also request applications via email at [email protected]. The deadline to apply is April 30. Applications may be submitted via the CCA email address or mailed to P.O. Box 991, Christiansted, VI 00821 with the subject line “College Bound Scholarship.”

Unlike many news organizations, we haven't put up a paywall - we want to keep our journalism as open as we can. Our sites are more popular than ever, but advertising revenues are falling - so you can see why we could use your help. Our independent journalism costs time, money and hard work to keep you informed, but we do it because we believe that it matters. If everybody who appreciates our reporting efforts were to help fund it for as little as $1, our future would be much more secure. Thanks in advance for your support!
