Police ID Victims in March 17 Mi Bloque Disco Homicide

The V.I. Police Department on Friday released the names of the victims of the double homicide that took place March 17 at the Mi Bloque Disco and Social Club.

According to police next of kin identified the two men as 29-year-old Adrian Aquino Sanchez and 35-year-old Logan Antonio Pujols.

The police statement said no arrest had been made as of Friday and the incident remains under investigation.

The VIPD news release recounted the details of the incident. At 11:02 p.m. Sunday, March 17, the 911 emergency call center received a report of multiple shots fired at the club, which is at Altona and Welgunst, and that one person had been shot in the chest.

At the scene officer’s discovered two unresponsive Hispanic males lying on the floor inside of the establishment. EMS arrived on the scene and found no vital signs.

Two other individuals also were shot, one male and one female. Both victims were transported to the Schneider Regional Medical Center were treated for their injuries sustained from the gunshots.

Police urged anyone with information about the crime to contacts the VIPD at 340-774-2211, the Major Crime Unit at 340-714-9830, the Criminal Investigation Bureau at 340-714-9807, or the anonymous tip service, Crime Stoppers USVI, at 1-800-222-8477 (1-800-2220TIPS).

Tips submitted to Crime Stoppers which result in the resolution of a case can qualify the caller for an anonymous cash reward.
