Mostly sunny skies will prevail across the islands today although there is an increase in moisture levels which could yield one or two scattered showers from time to time. Southeasterly winds will be observed today, and as a result, warmer temperatures will again be experienced. Daytime highs are expected to reach into the low 90s in some locations.
Small craft operators should exercise caution across the offshore Atlantic waters due to six foot seas. Elsewhere, mariners can anticipate five foot seas with southeasterly winds to 15 knots (18 miles per hour).
There is a moderate risk of rip currents along the northwest beaches of St. Thomas and St. Croix, and a low risk of rip currents elsewhere.
