Kelvin Ethan Woodson, also known as “Kelly” or “Gerbil,” of Estate Whim died on Wednesday, March 20. He was 58 years old.
He was preceded in death by his father, Svend A. Ovesen Jr.; grandparents: Hezekiah E. Smith and Marion M. Smith; brother, Svend A. Ovesen III; aunt, Annette E. Smith; uncles: Alfred E. Smith and Harold E. Smith; cousin, Kerisa M. Smith.
He is survived by his companion, Theresa Collingwood; mother, Alfreda Smith Ovesen; stepson, Jomo Akinrin; step-grandson, Zion Akinrin; sister, Karole E. Ovesen-McGregor; brothers: Kraigg A. A. Ovesen, Hans H. A. Ovesen and Gerald E. A. Ovesen; nieces: Keryn K. McGregor-Wing, Kristyn N. Ovesen, Hanaya Ovesen, Deshinque Ovesen and Kara S. Ovesen; nephews: Svend A. Ovesen IV, Marquis A. McGregor, Omary J. Ovesen, Jahleel Ovesen, Khalid A. Ovesen, Deshawn Ovesen, Brandon Ovesen, Zion Ovesen, Negus Cooper and Cameron E. Ovesen; and great nephew, Svend A. Ovesen V.

There will be a viewing from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, April 3, at the James Memorial Funeral Home in La Grande Princesse.
A second viewing will be held at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m., Thursday, April 4, at the St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Frederiksted. Interment will be in Frederiksted Cemetery.
