Melanie F. V. Lindsey

Melanie F. V. Lindsey died on March 10.

She is survived by her companion, David Hills; son, Michael Joseph; daughters: Cathy Joseph and Nashanta Farrell; grandchildren: Jaheim Sanders, Shannis Edward, Catrice Benjamin, Tyler Lindo, Mya Joseph and Mykalah Joseph; siblings: Agnes R. Lindsey (deceased), Jeanette Browne, Berthrum (Cecil) Lindsay, Franklyn (Joe) Lindsay, John Ryan (deceased) and Sally Lindsey (England); and nieces: Patricia Lindsey-Martinez, Maureen Ryan, Jennifer Ryan, Jonee, Ciara Lindsey Ryan, Ajah, Shaliyah Lindsey and Marilyn Louis.

She is also survived by nephews: Roberto Martinez Jr., Davon Ryan, Clifford Menzies and Joden Lindsay; great nieces: Naima Martinez-Poleon and JLisa Martinez; great nephews: Rashad Martinez and Rick Poleon; great-great nieces: Morgan Lawrence and Zoe Lindsay; great-great nephews: Major Martinez, Mac Martinez and Maxyn Martinez; and cousins: Edith Peters, Shaun Peters, Margaret Jacobs, Clifton Jacobs, Prudence Tuitt-Edwards, Jahremia Luke, Jennifer Toriano, Jasmine, Jackeal, Jackheal King and Pastor Cecil Lindsay.

Other survivors include close friends: Michael Joseph, Stedroy Farrell, Jason Henry, Charles Horton, Desire Jorden, Jacqueline Denis, Tracey Lanclos, Lorelie Clarke, Delores Parrilla and family, Renee Ferdinand and family, Citerra Stewart, Sweeney family, Greenaway family, Fenton family, Wade family, Craig, Fredensborg Housing and Louise E. Brown Villa; as well as many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

A viewing will be held at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 30, at Divine Funeral Services & Crematory, 129 Peter’s Rest. There will not be an interment.
