V.I. Forecast: Scattered Showers

A surge in moisture moving in from the east may result in the development of some scattered showers across the surrounding waters of the U.S. and British Virgin Islands today.  Daytime highs will average in the mid 80s with prevailing east to northeast winds of 10-15 miles per hour. Drier air is forecast to move across the region overnight through Friday resulting in fair weather conditions.

Seas to five feet are expected across the coastal waters with winds of 10-15 knots (12-17 miles per hour).

There is a moderate risk of rip currents for the northern and southern coastlines of St. Croix.
