V.I. Forecast: Cloudy, Possible Early Showers Clearing Later

A patch of low-level moisture is expected to move across the local area today resulting in increased cloud coverage and showers. Later, drier air will infiltrate the region reducing the potential for shower activity. Daytime highs will average in the mid to upper 80s with winds from the east-southeast at 10-15 miles per hour.

Across the local waters, six foot seas are expected with winds from the east to 20 knots (23 miles per hour). Small craft operators are urged to exercise caution.

There is a moderate risk of rip currents across most of the beaches of St. Croix and the southern beaches of St. Thomas and St. John.
