Carl E.S. Richards

Carl E.S. Richards, also known as “DJ Junie,” died on Feb. 11.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Louise Merchant; father, Theophilus Richards; brother, Veron; and sisters: Ingrid and Arlene.

He is survived by his wife, Gwenneth Richards; sons: Eustace, Glenville, Carl Jr., Kelvin and Kevin: daughters: Avis, Tracy and Patricia; brothers: Alford, Elroy, Dennis, Kirtly, Dwane and Keithroy; sisters: Rosemary and Janet; sisters-in-law: Eilene, Sarah, Maria, Grethlyn, Hazelyn, Claudette, Valarie and Deloris; brothers-in-law: Robert, Patrick and Rochester; son-in-law, Cosey Jr.; daughters-in-law: Marcilina, Kimme, Liz, Abygail and Tenisha; nieces: Alison, Maricia, Lu and Seane; and nephews: too numerous to mention.

He is also survived by grandchildren: Cosey III, Lyana, Myesha, Maliq, Kaydee, Kayla, D’Andre, Ka’Shyra, Kareem. Kalani, Kimani, Roniqua, Moses, Aaliyah, Anaya, T’Koyah, Glenya, Carlos, Tionna and Tiffany; great-grandchild, Zinna; special friends: the Ginger Thomas family, the dialysis patients and nurses at JFL Hospital, the Vitran bus drivers and Mr. Warren, the group of people that was in Atlanta Sonesta East, the Family of Lab, The DJs, the driver at Owl in Atlanta, the nurses and doctors on St. Croix and in Atlanta; as well as many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

The family requests festive colors be worn.

There will be a viewing held at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 7, at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 38 and 44 Estate Castle Coakley. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery, Christiansted, St. Croix.
