Amir Ibn Abdullah Abdus Saleem Dies at 36

Amir Ibn Abdullah Abdus Saleem

Amir Ibn Abdullah Abdus Saleem, age 36, died on Oct. 20 in Las Vegas, Nev. Amir was a beloved Moko Jumbie and a disabled veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Denea Prime Saleem; daughter, Saniya Saleem; stepdaughter, DeLyla Hernandez; stepson, DeAndre Prime; mother, Aminah Saleem; brothers: Jaleel Saleem, Khalid Saleem, Zayd Saleem and Scot Smith (cousin/brother); mother-in-law, Slyvia Prime; and in-laws: Kristel Solomon Saleem, Keith Prime, Samuel Prime Jr., Alicia Prime-Zekarias, Debra Marks-Edmonson, Donna Marks, Claudia Marks, Ricky Marks, Princess Alexander, Don prime, Peterson Prime, Hollis Prime, Ecrol Prime and Annemarie Vidal.

He is also survived by his niece, Amenta Saleem; nephews: James Shorts, Zavi Saleem and Azai Saleem; great nephews: Jordon Burns, and Justice and Josiah Shorts; great aunts: Evelyn Messer James and Clarissa Messer Petersen; great uncle, Leroy Harrison; and aunts: Anna E. Clendenen Thompson, Debi Perry Good, Deborah Ann Good, Anna Good and Deborah Good.

Other survivors include uncles: Kenneth Campbell, Lawrence Good, Robert Good, Benjamin Good and Henry Rezendes; adopted sister, Naisha Monelle-Joseph; as well as other family members too numerous to mention. Related families include the Messer, James, Peterson, Prince, Heyliger, Brady, Springer, Benjamin, Millers, Hector, Hodge, Andrews, Joseph, O’Reilly and Parris, Good and Campbell families.

Amir Ibn Abdullah Abdus Saleem’s funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 2, at the graveside at Kingshill Cemetery. Persons wishing to bid their last farewell to our brother Amir are welcomed to join the family as he is laid to rest.
