Edna Deloris Caines

Edna Deloris Caines died on Dec. 13.

She is survived by her spouse, Austin Ebenezer Caines; mother, Sarah Guishard; daughters: Juliana “Debbie” Liburd, Tamaira “Sunshine” Caines-Julien; sons: Mitchelle “Ishmael” Liburd and Ashlin Caines; daughter-in-law, Stacy Liburd; son-in-law, Ronald Julien Jr.; grandchildren: Justin Liburd, Sharhea Waltley, Travis Liburd, Destiny Liburd and Amyra Julien; great-grandchild, Azrael Liburd; stepdaughter, Cecile Rawlins; and brothers: Howard Liburd, Randolph Liburd, Venford Guishard, Aaron Guishard and Anesta Guishard.

She is also survived by sisters: Estelita Guishard, Eldeca Guishard, Cynthia Guishard, Gretel Liburd, Glenore Liburd and Mary Guishard; aunts: Daphne Vaughan, Ethel Noland and Loretta Lawrence; and nieces: Trecia Liburd, Vinceta Guishard, Shauna Fergus, Larissa Dolar, Elspeth Guishard, Kenyatta Liburd, Kimberly Liburd, Kamoy Liburd, Kenasha Liburd, Kizzyanna Liburd and Bermel Wilkins.

Other survivors include nephews: Remigio Newton, Jervis Liburd, Jamo Guishard, Howard Liburd Jr., and Mark, Wickliff and Wayne Wilkins; cousins: a host of cousins in St. Kitts, Curacao, England, St. Thomas, Tortola, Canada, St. Maarten and USA; special friends: Pamela James, Loretta Brown, Yvonne Isles, Cecila Hendrickson and the Entire Ebenezer Church family; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

A viewing will be held from 3-5 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 27, at Divine Funeral Services Chapel, 129 Peter’s Rest.

A second viewing will take place at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m., Friday, Dec. 28, at Ebenezer Methodist Church, 195 Richmond, St. Croix. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
