Wingrove Ira Nisbett

Wingrove Ira Nisbett, better known as “Pastrano,” died on Dec. 4.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Melvina Amanda Arthurton Cary, also known as “Girlie,” and his father, Lenard Nisbett.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Nisbett; children: Jeffrey Nisbett, Rayborne Nisbett, Troy Nisbett, Deon Nisbett and Sean Nisbett; adopted children: Naomi Joseph, JoAnn Gerard, Vernon and Verna Sackey Jacobs, and Desiree Sackey; stepchildren: Lisa Liburd, Elroy Liburd, Geylia Joseph and Gail Joseph; and grandchildren: Jamal Nisbett, Jessica Nisbett, Ajayda Nisbett, Kiema Nisbett, Jayden Nisbett,
Jaeda Nisbett, Jade Nisbett, Raynyse Nisbett, Rayanna Nisbett, Sheniqua Nisbett, Natalia Nisbett, Regina Nisbett, Amanda Nisbett, Ra’Sean Nisbett, Arayvious Nisbett, Amena Nisbett, Larena Nisbett, Jazlyn Nisbett, Kayla Nisbett, Tamika Nisbett, Shiyanna Nisbett, Devonte Bastian, Selah Hodge, Tenesee Nisbett, Aurora Nisbett and Sean Nisbett Jr.

He is also survived by great-grandchildren: Skyla Nisbett, Ja’layah Loctar, Je’lissa Loctar, Je’laisah Roebuck, Je’Nia Roebuck and Je’Sai Lake; aunt: Dulcina Arthurton and Alison Bartlett (England); uncle, Lloyd Arthurton (Nevis); daughters-in-law: Antonia Ayala Ortiz and Felicia McQueen; goddaughter, Calisha Bab; special family and friends: Janice Dabrio and family, Idita Arthurton and family, Linney Arthurton and family, Cecila Cruze and family (Texas), Angie Pemberton, T. Pemberton, Lina Pemberton and the Pemberton family, Eileen Pryce, Lay Down Peak Up Band and Dimitri “Pikey” Copeman’s Renaissance Band; as well as many more too numerous to mention.

Celebration of Life services will be held on Dec. 19, with a 9 a.m. viewing and 10 a.m. service at the Frederiksted Assembly of God, Estate Campo Rico, Frederiksted, St. Croix.
